4歳でピアノを習い始める。
幼い頃に家族と一緒にバンクーバーに転居、
高校の小さなジャズバンドで活動を始めた。
15歳の時レストランでピアノ演奏を始める。
17歳からはバークリー音楽大学に入学。
ロサンゼルスへと旅立ち、歌い始めた。
1999年、最優秀ジャズミュージシャン。
